| With the Glancetron 1290, we offer you a magnetic stripe reader for different card applications in an extremely compact design. It reads all three stripes of a magnetic card with ISO standard and is particularly flexible in terms of connectivity. At a size of just 115x46x34 mm (LxWxH), it includes an intelligent technology hidden within the device along with the decoder that enables your customers to adapt especially easily to all applications. | |
The bi-directional reader allows the card to be pulled through in both directions, which not only improves ergonomics, but also increases the speed of payment transactions. Since it reads all three tracks of the magnetic card, synchronization with the application is unnecessary. The collected information is directly converted in the decoder into ASCII characters. Customers can easily program the data in the Glancetron 1290 themselves (such as conversion of information, replacement of characters, cutting of character chains, etc.) with the user-friendly Windows software. The Glancetron 1290 magnetic stripe reader is thus suitable for all systems in which special requirements for data formatting exist or, due to security considerations, when only specific parts of credit or EC card data are to be transferred.
Connecting the Glancetron 1290 is extremely flexible: the reader is compatible with all standard interfaces, only a cable for meeting specific requirements may have to be ordered in addition. Along with a serial cable and keyboard wedge cable, two cable versions for the USB interface are also available. Here you optionally utilise the KBW or RS232 emulation versions. In this case, you take advantage of a USB interface and simulate the transfer via keyboard wedge or serial port.
